Florence El Luche: The Journey of a Woman Who Made Her Mark
Florence El Luche, whose real name is Florence Duré, is a Haitian woman with many talents. Today, she stands out as one of the hybrid figures of the Caribbean scene, at the crossroads of music, entrepreneurship, and reality television. At 38, Flo represents the journey of a determined woman who fought to achieve her dreams.
Born in Gonaïves, Florence turned to music at a very young age. Over time, she gradually expanded her scope, particularly into business. In 2018, she became a media personality by joining season 4 of Love & Hip Hop. Today, she is known as an artist, reality TV star, and successful businesswoman.
As an artist, El Luche has several well-known songs, along with collaborations with major figures in the Haitian music scene, such as Ti Ansyto, Blaze One, and Martelly. Many of her songs have accumulated millions of views on YouTube. At one point, the woman who called herself the “Queen of Kompa” was determined to do everything possible to bring this genre to the international stage.
Today, seeing the success of the song 4 Kampé by Joé Dwèt Filé, as well as the growing interest of international artists in kompa, popularized by Nemours Jean Baptiste, this dream is becoming a reality, an evolution that can only make her happy.
On the business side, Florence is thriving. She has managed to create a perfect balance between business and family. She is currently the owner of the brand Sirèt Cosmetics, which she has entrusted to her 19 year old eldest son. She also leads La Fourchette Restaurant, a Haitian restaurant based in Little Haiti, Miami, managed by her mother, as well as Riske Kollection Beauty Bar, a beauty salon based in Florida.
However, this journey has not been without obstacles. The mother of three has faced difficult moments on several occasions. Whether in music, business, or reality television, the path has not always been easy. At one point, due to the impact of the show, her mental health was significantly affected, forcing her to take a break. Today, Florence Duré represents success built on perseverance, consistency, and resilience.
